Can the slab be heated?

Yes, any slab can be heated. With in-slab hydronic heating on a polished concrete you will never live on a better floor.

Can red wine stain a Polished Concrete floor?

Just like any other floor type, red wine will leave a stain if not attended to straight away.

Can I have the timber and carpet floors level with the concrete?

Yes, most definitely. Levels are another important reason for you to communicate with your Builder and Concreter.

What stage do you carry out the Polishing Procedure?

We usually would carry out a preliminary grind (Stage 1) approximately 5 – 10 days after the slab has been poured and grind to the required exposure.

Is Polished Concrete slippery?

Just like any hard flooring it will be slippery when wet.

How do you maintain a floor once polished?

We will leave a cleaning pack, which contains a Microfiber Mop, Cleaner and Maintenance sheet on site with every job.

When do you put the stones in?

All concrete has aggregate in it.

When do you add the colour?

Colours are added by the concrete supplier and are in the mix before the concrete sets.
